Capilano Community Services Society

Capilano Community Services Society (CCSS) has connected residents of North and West Vancouver to their communities for over 40 years by providing support services, resources, and outreach programs that address the current and emerging needs of frail and isolated seniors, and potentially at-risk youth. Additionally, the society offers a medical equipment loan program and provides administrative support to other on-site non-profit organizations.

In Fall 2019, CCSS will be moving to the new Lions Gate Community Centre (being built at Marine Drive and Capilano Road). This area is home to many new immigrants. CCSS wants to ensure we have the skills and resources to meet the needs of our new community, so we are thrilled to be invited to join NSIIP, to help us with this exciting new chapter. CCSS will be expanding our services and adding new and exciting on-site social-educational-recreational programs for all ages. The centre will be a welcoming, inclusive and accessible gathering place that celebrates diversity. Our programs will be developed to meet the needs and aspirations of local area residents of varying ethno-cultural, linguistic, and socio-demographic backgrounds. Programming will also be offered in languages other than English to reflect the linguistic diversity in our community.
