Forum Invitation
This timely forum will be a combined in-person and online training opportunity bringing together community organizers and experts in the anti-racism and anti-hate sector. Presenters will share best promising practices, resources, and tools for settlement, language and community service providers to navigate the challenges of combating hate and discrimination. This forum will address the challenges that Syrian refugee clients face in their communities and how service providers and community stakeholders can address these challenges.  -This event is funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

    • Tech-Testing for Online Participants: 9:45 am to 10:00 am (PST)
  • Location: Online or In-Person at Surrey City Hall – 13450 104 Avenue, Surrey, B.C. (Map) – RM: Council Chambers
  • In-person Participation: 4 in-person attendees per organization
  • Online Participation: Unlimited number of online connections per agency
  • Registration Cost: Free
  • Who Should Attend (not limited to): Directors, Managers, LINC Instructors, Front-line Staff, Settlement Workers, Private Sponsors, Community Stakeholders
