Date: September 22, 2016

Learn. Share. Participate.
The federal government has promised to change the way we elect our representatives in Ottawa. Join us for an interactive dialogie on the options for change.
Presented by North Shore Community Resources, Democracy Café provides Canadians and local residents with a meaningful opportunity to learn about and participate in Canada’s democratic life.
Living in Canada’s democracy is more than just about earning money, spending time with friends and family and going shopping. Those of course are important but what distinguishes a democratic society like Canada’s is that every citizen has a meaningful opportunity to participate in how we govern ourselves – the laws and policies we will live by and the programs and funding priorities our governments pursue. It is not enough to leave these jobs to our politicians alone.
Democracy Café is designed to be interactive so participants will interact, learn and participate together. Just like democracy.
